MFT takes an active role in developing academic exchange. Institute has established tie-ups with number of Universities and Research institutions and Garment industries. MFT collaborates with Alagappa University-Karaikudi, TamilNadu Open University-Chennai, Bharathiar University-Coimbatore, Manonmaniam Sundaranar Univeristy-Tirunelveli, etc. to conduct its Diploma and Under Graduate Courses Fashion Courses in full time and part–time basis. In addition, tie-ups with many renowned fashion institutions and colleges in India to ensure its standards are pegged to the rest of the world such as Central Leather Research Institute-Chennai, Richpeace Group Co.
